Window Treatments for Arched and Specialty-Shape Windows
Arches, half-rounds, angled tops and bay windows give a room its character, and none of them fit a standard size. The treatments that work are built to the shape of the opening: custom shutters, cellular shades, and roller shades made for the window.
Option 1 of 3
Custom shutters
Shutters can be built with a frame that follows the shape of the opening. Because a shutter is a rigid panel in its own frame, an opening that is out of square is handled by the frame style instead of being hidden by the treatment.

Option 2 of 3
Cellular shades
Cellular shades can be made for arched and angled openings, and their air-filled cells insulate the glass.

Roller shades
In a bay or a run of angled windows, individual roller shades fitted to each pane keep the lines clean and let each window be set on its own.

What we check before recommending one
- The exact shape and size of every opening, measured at the window
- Whether the frame is out of square, which decides the shutter frame style
- Whether each pane in a bay should move on its own or together
